Congress asks govt to keep an eye on import of fish from other parts of country
Panaji: The Congress in Goa on Monday urged the the state government to keep an eye on import of fish from other parts of the country.
In a statement, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) Spokesperson Urfan Mulla said,” It is a kind request to the Government of Goa, that they should keep a strong eye towards import of fish from other parts of country to Goa by regulating FDA (Food and Drugs Administration) team who should test formalin free fish available to the people of Goa.”
Mr Mulla said overnment should also see that the fish was available at reasonable rate as some people were taking benefit of lockdown by charging higher rates.
“Govt should also see that red meat is available by using proper government slaughter houses,” he said.
