Congress new activist Tamankar demands arrest of former Congress CM

In a strange twist, the newly appointed vocal face of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) Sudip Tamankar has demanded that the former Congress Chief Minister Digambar Kamat and now Margao -MLA be arrested and sent to Tihar Jail because of the findings noted by the panel of Justice MB Shah in the ‘Shah Commission report on illegal mining’.

Addressing a press conference on the ‘Shah Commission report’ Tamankar stated that it was important that the current government take to task all involved in the illegal mining in the state, and also ensure that the Minister for Mines be arrested and sent to jail, for his failure in controlling illegal mining in Goa.

Former CM Kamat has come under fire post the tabling of the Shah Commission report in Parliament, the Chief Minister Parrikar has told media that the government will be conducting its investigations and also filing FIRs against Kamat and Pratapsingh Rane two former CMs of the Congress government.
