Yet another police personnel has been caught on camera selling drugs to foreigners even as the mysterious disappearance of narcotics from police custody remains unexplained and police are yet to come out of the scandal that was exposed in March last year wherein police personnel were found peddling drugs.
In the instant case, Police Sub-Inspector Sunil Guddlar was been captured on camera passing on a packet to two foreigners after they asked him “what about the stuff”. The packet he passed to the duo is presumably drugs.
The two foreigners who captured the deal on camera have passed it on to the Home Minister Ravi Naik for necessary action and have offered to provide more clues depending upon what action is taken by the authorities.
It would be pertinent to note that Ravi Naik who is under cloud over his son Roy’s alleged links with drug peddlers in Goa, had recently claimed that there is no drug mafia operating in Goa which has drawn much flack.
Roy’s links with the drug dealers was first suggested by the teenage girl who was found dead at Arpora Scarlett’s mother and more recently by Lucky Farmhouse the former girlfriend of Atala the Israeli national claimed to be a drug kingpin in Goa.
In fact, even though Atala was arrested he was granted bail and is now in his home town in Israel after jumping bail.
Incidentally Sunil Guddlar was instrumental in arresting international drug dealer David Driham alias Dudu and was even awarded a Certificate of Appreciation by the Director General of police for this act.
Sunil had also arrested his senior Ashish Shirodkar, the police inspector named by Atala as his main drug supplier. Following Atala’s disclosure, seven police personnel including Ashish were suspended.
