New Delhi: The issue of Corporatisation of Ordinance Factory Board (OFB) was raised in the Rajya Sabha on Friday, the fifth day of the Monsoon session.
Raising the issue during the Zero Hour, CPI MP from Kerala Vinay Viswam stated that the employees and workers of OFB think that the move will go against the nation. He demanded review of the attempt.
DMK MP from Tamil Nadu Tiruchi Siva said that there is unequal representation of States in Central government jobs.
He demanded that 90 per cent representation be given for residents of the states.
BJD MP from Odisha Muzibulla Khan raised the issue of revisiting census figures in the state as he suspects that figures related to the minority population is inaccurate.
Congress MP from Punjab Shamsher Singh Dullo raked up the issue of illicit liquor in the state and requested the Centre to intervene and investigate the illicit liquor mafia.
He also urged the government to to provide compensation for people affected by this.
Other points raised include digitisation of land rights, rights of pensioners, the uneven implementation of Garib Kalyan Rojgar Abhiyaan.
