The global terrorist Dawood Ibrahim has taken out a USD 50 million supari to target Republic TV legally, economically, and mentally.
At first, I did not believe it, when a senior intelligence officer of a central intelligence agency told me this. But when I started to put the pieces of the jigsaw together. It started to make complete sense.
One week ago, I has broken this story, about a source of “GoaChronicle.com working in an international intelligence arm that focuses on South Asia terrorism and counter-terrorism informed that a number: 0092306####310 has been in touch with key people in India and their focus discussion has been to work on plans to restrain Arnab Goswami and Republic TV Network.
The source also mentioned that this person could be in touch with someone in Mumbai police or in touch with someone influential in the media fraternity but could not affirmatively confirm who is the person receiving the calls from Pakistan.
GoaChronicle further decided to investigate the Pakistani number: 0092306####310.
The number belongs to an officer of the Special Services Group (SSG) of the Pakistan Army. The name by which the officer of SSG goes by is – Ishaq.
The SSG is an elite Commando unit of the Pakistan Army. It is also known as the Maroon Berets. The officers in SSG are directly recruited by Pakistan’s ISI.
SSG’s core focus areas of operations are foreign internal defense, reconnaissance, counter-terrorism action, direct action, and unconventional warfare. But it also operates in the dark arts of espionage – information operations and psychological operations.
In fact, is if you go back into history into SSG operations against India, in January 2013, India accused Pakistan that Army Special Service Group led an attack across the Line of Control (LoC) in which Indian soldiers were killed and beheaded.
If SSG is in touch with someone in the Mumbai police or media, then it is a matter of grave national security. It is an issue that goes beyond just targetting Arnab Goswami and Republic TV, it is about threatening the sovereignty of the nation.”
It was based on this story that the senior intelligence officer spoke to me through a common associate, informing me that the troubling issue of the people targeting Arnab Goswami and Republic TV is the focus on Dawood, Drugs, and Bollywood post the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. In the past, the focus of drugs or Dawood has been spoken about but never discussed so persistently and vehemently.
He told me that currently in Mumbai, there is reportedly USD 50 million put out to target Republic TV and Arnab Goswami. The focus is to target him legally, economically, and mentally. No known decision has been taken to physically harm Arnab Goswami but the focus on legal, economical, and mental is certain. The idea is to get him to stop focusing on the Sushant Singh Rajput case. The more Republic focuses on it, the more it will focus on Bollywood, Drugs, and Dawood. It will also bring out in the open the connection of Dawood, Bollywood, and politics in Mumbai and India.
He further added that the USD 50 million is not a ball-park figure, it can go to even as high as USD 100 million, it means that they will spend a considerable amount to divert the focus from Dawood, Drugs, and Bollywood, eventually from the Sushant Singh Rajput case.
The intelligence officer further informed that Kangana Ranaut too would be targeted in a similar manner – legally, financially, and mentally.
When asked about other media channels and why only target Arnab Goswami. He told me that eventually in most media channels the issue around the Sushant Singh Rajput case will find closure and eventually no focus will be on Dawood, Bollywood, or Drugs in the weeks ahead.
The reason for this vicious attack on the Republic TV network and Kangana Ranaut, according to the intelligence officer is business. The persistent focus on Bollywood, Drugs, and Dawood is expected to hamper business. It is also putting certain political leaders in a questionable position with direct or indirect links to Bollywood, Drugs, and Dawood. All this is coming out, post the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.
The intelligence officer also advised me to be careful and alert because of my appearance on Republic TV and my open naming of Dawood Ibrahim, Drugs and Bollywood post the Sushant Singh Rajput death case on two news channels, one of which is Republic TV.
He further explained the importance of drug money to the overall activities of the D-company and Dawood relationship with a global terror organisation.
It is no secret that Dawood is currently under the protection of the Pakistan government and ISI. Dawood is a global terrorist and a drug kingpin operating out of Pakistan.
On June 1, 2006, US President George Bush designated three foreign individuals and two foreign entities in the seventh annual set of determinations of drug traffickers who will be subject to the sanctions provided in the Foreign Narcotics Kingpin Designation Act (“Kingpin Act”). This action brings the total number of individuals and entities designated under the Kingpin Act to 62 since the first designations were made in 2000.
The US President’s action was voiced determination to do everything possible to pursue drug traffickers, undermine their operations, and end the suffering that trade in illicit drugs inflicts on Americans and other people around the world, as well as preventing drug traffickers from supporting terrorists.
The Kingpin Act, which became law in December 1999, targets significant foreign narcotics traffickers, their organizations, and operatives worldwide, denying them access to the U.S. financial system and all trade and transactions involving U.S. companies and individuals.
The Kingpin Act does not target the countries in which these foreign individuals and entities are operating or the governments of such countries.
The foreign individuals and entities the President has designated this year as appropriate for sanctions under the Kingpin Act are Dawood Ibrahim (India), Fahd Jamil Georges (Brazil), and Ali Naway (Iran). In fact, in the list of entities, the Dawood Ibrahim Organization that operated in India, Pakistan, and UAE, were also designated under the Kingpin Act along with Amezcua Contreras Organization (Mexico).
The U.S. Treasury Department today announced that it is designating Dawood Ibrahim as a Specially Designated Global Terrorist under Executive Order 13224 and will be requesting that the United Nations list him as well. The designation froze any assets belonging to Ibrahim within the U.S. and prohibited transactions with U.S. nationals:
“Dawood Ibrahim (“IBRAHIM”), the son of a police constable, has reigned as one of the pre-eminent criminals in the Indian underworld for most of the past two decades.
IBRAHIM’s syndicate is involved in large-scale shipments of narcotics in the U.K. and Western Europe. The syndicate’s smuggling routes from South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa are shared with Usama bin Laden and his terrorist network. Successful routes established over recent years by IBRAHIM’s syndicate have been subsequently utilized by bin Laden. A financial arrangement was reportedly brokered to facilitate the latter’s usage of these routes. In the late 1990s, IBRAHIM traveled in Afghanistan under the protection of the Taliban.
IBRAHIM’s syndicate has consistently aimed to destabilize the Indian government through inciting riots, acts of terrorism, and civil disobedience. He is currently wanted by India for the March 12, 1993, Bombay Exchange bombings, which killed hundreds of Indians and injured over a thousand more.
Information, from as recent as Fall 2002, indicates that IBRAHIM has financially supported Islamic militant groups working against India, such as Lashkar-e- Tayyiba (LeT). For example, this information indicates that IBRAHIM has been helping finance increasing attacks in Gujarat by LeT. Lashkar-e-Tayyiba (Army of the Righteous) is the armed wing of Markaz-ud-Dawa-wal-Irsha (MDI) – a Sunni anti-US missionary organization formed in 1989. The United States added LeT to the list of designated terrorists in October 2001. The group was banned by the Pakistani government, and its assets frozen, in January 2002.

Kaskar, his criminal band known as “D” company and other associates continue to engage in criminal activity in India and Nepal. This includes conspiracy to kill political leaders and counterfeiting currencies.
