Buenos Aires: The number of people, who have died of the coronavirus in Argentina, has increased by 614 within the past 24 hours and thus surpassed 100,000, the national Ministry of Health said.
“The total number of fatalities stands at 100,250,” the ministry said on late Wednesday.
Within the same period of time, the number of new confirmed cases has risen by 19,697 to 4,702,657.
The World Health Organization declared the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic on March 11, 2020. To date, more than 188.14 million people have been infected with the coronavirus worldwide, with over 4.05 million fatalities, according to Johns Hopkins University.
