Chief Minister Digambar Kamat while pointing out that Education Minister Babush Monserrate was seized with the issue of the bungling by the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education over the XII std results, said the government will wait for the enquiry report before taking any action.
Replying to questions on the issue, he pointed out that the Education Minister has already initiated an enquiry. “We have to see whether it was a genuine mistake while entering the data in the computer or due to the grading system,” he said.
Replying to a question, he said the government will await the enquiry report before deciding about the proposed grading system sought to be implemented from the next academic year.
He claimed to be unaware of Goan students losing out on the entrance tests of some national professional colleges like BITS Pilani due to the bungling by the board, however, assured that the Board will first rectify the marks of Science students to enable them to go ahead with the vocational plans.
