New Delhi, Sep 26 (GCCurrentAffairs) Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday extended his wishes to senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Sanjay Singh for being appointed as election in-charge for the Delhi Assembly polls to be held early next year, and said unlike earlier elections which were fought on caste and religion, this will be “fought on work.”
Mr Kejriwal also wished party’s national secretary Pankaj Gupta for being appointed as Campaign Director for Delhi Assembly polls.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the CM said,”Best wishes @SanjayAzadSln, @pankajgupta 5 yrs of AAP govt has proved to be a revolution. It has given hope that yes, it’s possible. Till date elections have been fought on issues like caste and religion. This election will be fought on the works. For the first time a party is saying that we have improved your life, so please vote.”
This decision was taken in the meeting of AAP’s Political Affairs Committee (PAC) on Thursday.
AAP will contest the Delhi Assembly polls on the basis of the “historic performance” of its elected government, which has changed the face of the national capital and has ensured all round development.
Party volunteers will take the work of the Delhi Government in Health, Education, Electricity and Water sectors to every household of the city.
