The report was tabled before the state cabinet here on Tuesday which accepted it.

State government spokesperson Srikant Sharma said that the then Meerut Commissioner Prabhat Kumar in his report on September 29, 2019 has claimed that there were several analogies in acquisition of around 71.1495 hectares of land in four villages including Dasna on the old rate of compensation even after the new compensation Act came into force.

” Due to the arbitration moved by the farmers, the land could not be acquired and which led to the delay in the project,” the report said with recommending stringent action against the erring officials including the DM.
The cabinet has instructed that everywhere the compensation of the land acquired by the government should be paid on the new Act.
