Denial Of Leave, Cause Of Suicide?

Police Constable Chandru Gawas reportedly committed suicide because he was denied leave by his senior officer Police Inspector Pravin Vast, even though he had sought leave because of his marriage.
Chandru was scheduled to get married on 9th July and had applied for 59 days leave on 22nd June, which was apparently denied.
Upset over this fact, two days later Chandru took the extreme step of consuming poison to end his life and he died  on 28th June.
However, Director General of Police Aditya Arya pointed out that if his leave was refused, Chandru had the option of approaching higher officials including himself instead of committing suicide.
The police are expected to approach the Judicial Magistrate First Class asking for a copy of Chandru’s dying declaration which has been submitted to the court in a sealed envelope.
Meanwhile the post mortem conducted by a team of doctors of Goa Medical College has confirmed that Chandru died due to poisoning as his internal organs including liver, were badly damaged.
