The Division bench of Bombay High Court at Goa comprising of Justice S C Dharmadhikari and Justice F M Reis on Monday declined to hear the petition filed by Governor Dr. S S Sidhu appealing against the order of the State Information Commission holding his office to be a public office.
The matter will now be heard on 28th April by a single judge of the Court.
The division bench declined to hear the matter as such matters are handled by a Single judge and though this was brought to the notice of the petitioner at the time of registering the petition, the Governor had insisted that his appeal be placed before the Division bench.
Incidentally, the Governor was represented in the Court by Adv. Mahesh Sonak and the not the State Advocate General.
