Drugs worth Rs 300 crore caught in J&K
Srinagar: J&K Police and BSF in RS Pura achieved major success after a huge cache of illegal drugs, arms, and ammunition was recovered and an infiltration bid of smugglers was foiled.
After a specific input of infiltration of smugglers was generated, joint teams of Jammu Police and BSF spanned around the border and a tight vigil was kept. In the middle of the night, a suspicious movement was noticed.
After a challenge from security forces, the smugglers fled from the spot leaving behind 62 Kgs of high-quality Heroin along with 2 Chinese made pistols with ammunition. The international market cost of illegal drugs recovered was approximately 300 crores.
A search is laid in the adjoining villages for nabbing the accused involved in Narco terrorism when this report was filed.
