Eminent actor Soumitra Chatterjee shifted to ITU
Kolkata: Acclaimed octogenarian Bengali Film Actor, Soumitra Chatterjee, who tested Covid-19 positive on October six and was shifted to a hospital for treatment, has been put on oxygen support after his condition deteriorated on Friday night.
A team of doctors has been monitoring his condition round the clock at Bellevue Hospital in the city.
The 85-year-old Dadasaheb Phalke Award-winning actor was at an “acute confusional stage” and shifted to the ITU.
The celebrated actor earned encomiums for his astounding role as “Feluda” in Oscar-winning Director Satyajit Ray’s movies.
