Fifteen pc polling in Maharashtra’s Marathwada till 1100 hrs

Aurangabad (Maharashtra), Oct 21 (GCCurrentAffairs) Around 15 per cent polling was reported in the state’s Marathwada region in first four hours in a peaceful manner but under the shadow of rain, said EC sources.

Polling began at 0700 hrs across the state under tight security at 0700 hours this morning.

According to the report reaching here from all the district headquarters, Jalna recorded 19.72 per cent, Hingoli-19 per cent, Parbhani- 16 per cent, Aurangabad 11.per cent, 2 Osmanabad 09 per cent, Nanded 11.27 per cent and Latur 13 per cent. Report from Beed is yet to receive.

In Parli, state Women and Child Welfare Minister Pankaja Munde, along with family members, Beed MP Dr Pritam Munde, Yashshree Munde mother Pragya Munde cast their votes in Nathra Village in Parli constituency.
Pankaja appealed to voters to come out from houses and take part in voting.

In Latur, late chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh’s two sons– Amit and Dhiraj– who were contesting election also cast their votes in Latur with their family members.

In Mumbai and Nashik 14 and 15 per cent voting till 1100 hrs, the sources added.
