Certain media have gone on overdrive running stories stating that the AIIMS report states that Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death was suicide and not murder.
Interestingly most media quoted sources as the reference point to the information it carried. Some media professionals even put up social media chats with Dr. Sudhir Gupta of AIIMS.
But so far AIIMS has not put out its official report in the public domains. AIIMS has submitted its report to the Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI).
The reportage of certain sections of media appears to be selective leaks by Dr. Sudhir Gupta of AIIMS, a professional in the media field, whose professionalism has come up for questioning before.
The moot question is that AIIMS, a reputed and respected medical institute has so far not officially put out their report on their investigations into the Sushant Singh Rajput death in the public domain.
Secondly, the report of AIIMS is not a conclusion to the investigations or a finality to the truth behind the death of Sushant Singh Rajut, it is a report based on the evidence presented to AIIMS by the Cooper Hospital doctors. CBI will consider the report as part of its investigations and not the conclusion to its investigations.
Sushant Singh Rajput did not commit suicide. The aim to convince the people of India that he committed suicide was right from the onset of news of his untimely death.
The time of death of Sushant Singh Rajput was never mentioned in the post-mortem report done by Cooper Hospital doctors.
There were some more elementary errors done by the doctors of Cooper Hospital. People fighting for justice for Sushant Singh Rajput hoped AIIMS would have been able to investigate beyond the errors and find the truth.
I personally feel that the AIIMS report will be inconclusive. That however does not mean a conclusion to the CBI investigation. It only means there is not enough evidence from a medical point of view to arrive at a conclusion of suicide or murder.
The most important point though that we must ponder about in the selective leakage of an important aspect of an on-going CBI investigation by Dr. Sudhir Gupta of AIIMS as reported by certain sections of media.
The report was confidential and handed over to CBI.
Sometimes on the altar of politics, justice is often sacrificed. If on the Sushant Singh Rajput death case justice is sacrificed on the altar of politics, politics will be sacrificed for justice.
