Five FTII Students’ Films To Be Showcased At IFFI

Five films of the students of Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) have been selected to be showcased in the students’ films section at the 42nd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) to be held in Goa from 23rd November to 3rd December.

The films, which are second-year projects by the students, include Airawat by Renu Savant, Tashi Delek by Sanyukta Sharma, Open Cafe v 2.5 by Naveen Padmanabha, Ru Cube by Satindar Bedi and Fish by Pranjal Dua.

Airawat has won a jury mention at the 4th International Documentary and Short Film Festival held in Kerala in July and will also be screened at the River to River 2011 Film Festival to be held in Florence (Italy) in December.

Tashi Delek (May good things come to you) is about the connection between two women staying in a guest house in Sikkim. Ru Cube talks about the chaos of mourning and Fish is about how a power game starts when a new employee is introduced to the fishbowl existence of a glass-panelled office.
