FORCE Threatens To Enter Politics If Their Demands Not Met

Forum for Rights of Children’s Education (FORCE) on Monday threatened to join politics by extending its support an existing political party if their demands were not met by the State Government.

Addressing media persons FORCE Secretary Savio Lopes alleged that Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch (BBSM) is misguiding people over the medium of instruction (MoI) issue.

He further stated that BBSM has shown that it is a front of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by extending its support to the BJP-sponsored rally to the assembly on 5th October.

He said, “FORCE openly challenges Shahikala Kakodkar, Uday Bhembre and Arvind Bhatikar to an open debate at Lohia Maidan at the time and date of their convenience. With this, their intensions will surely be exposed.”

He also clarified that on Monday FORCE, with the support of parents had called for a one-hour token boycott and not Bandh, as stated by BBSM.

Pointing out that there exist elements that are trying to destroy Goa and Goans, he alleged that these are the same elements that wanted Goa to be a part of Maharashtra.

“Our patience is getting over and we have now crossed the line of dignity that we had maintained,” he said.
