Former Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Siddharth Kuncolienkar on Tuesday likened the statements made by Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) President Girish Chodankar to ‘WhatsApp Crap’.
Addressing a press conference at the party state headquarters in the city, he also accused the Congress leader of making baseless allegations against the coalition government led by the BJP in the state.
“I think, the way false messages are sent on WhatsApp, people delete them. The same thing has happened to Girish who makes any statement anywhere and slinks away. People give it little value. We say crap – WhatsApp crap, this is the situation they are in now,” he said in response to the criticism made by the State Congress President against the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (GSIDC) recently.
Kuncolienkar also alleged that the GPCC President was trying to create panic among people in the state.
It many be noted that in a press conference recently, Chodankar had alleged that the Zuari bridge, a major bridge over the Zuari river which connects North Goa and South Goa districts, had developed cracks.
“Our PWD minister had to clarify that the bridge is fine,” Mr Kuncolienkar said.
