Kozhikode: Former Kerala Minister and veteran Congress leader K K Ramachandran Master died of heart attack at 4 AM in a private hospital here on Thursday.
He was 78.
The six-time legislator was Minister for Food & Civil Supplies in the A K Antony Ministry from 1995 and Health Minister in the Oommen Chandy Ministry from 2004.
He represented Congress party as an MLA for 27 years.
Ramachandran Master was elected three times from Kalpetta Assembly Constituency and thrice from Sultan Bathery Assembly constituency.
Native of Koothuparamba in Kannur district, he entered active politics after quitting his job as a teacher in a school in Kenichi in Wayanad district 1980.
He was also secretary of Kozhikode District Congress Committee.
Ramachandran Master was expelled from the party in 2011 after he had raised allegations against few Congress leaders.
Later Congress party took him back in 2014 but he was not active in politics.
