Lucknow: Spelling out his government’s priority, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Friday directed to complete all the formalities with regards to the preparations for construction of Ayush University in Gorakhpur.
Asking the department to brace up, he said that the foundation stone of the Ayush University will be laid in the second half of January, 2021.
The proposed University will have facilities for teaching and research in Ayurveda, Unani, Yoga and Naturopathy. The hospital building will also be a part of the University for treatment of patients.
Besides this, the CM also reviewed progress of the proposed veterinary college in Gorakhpur. He was told by the officials that the construction work for the college will start soon.
He also directed to start construction of proposed 13 medical colleges in the state. He said these were sanctioned in 2019 and there should not be any delay in the commencement of construction.
Additional Chief Secretary of Medical Education Rajneesh Dubey said the detailed action plan for these medical colleges have been prepared and remaining formalities will be completed very soon to start the actual work.
