From 7 to 818: Goa sees northward surge in COVID-19 cases

Panjim: From being declared a green state on May 3 with only seven reported COVID-19 cases, Goa has now touched 818 positive COVID-19 cases.

The state has reported 64 new positive COVID-19 cases today. Out of which 683 are active cases and 135 have recovered.

Goa saw a northward surge in COVID-19 cases after a community transmission was reported at Mangor Hill, Vasco. Also Chimbel near the capital city Panjim saw a sudden rise in COVID-19 cases.

Cases are now surfacing in newer pockets around North and South Goa.
