To boost Goan culture and traditions, the Government of Goa through Directorate of Art and Culture has organised Fugdi-Dhalo festival at four places on 13th March 2011. Fugdi-Dhalo is a traditional folk art form presented by women in many parts of over the state.
The festival will be at Shree Mahadev Temple, Tamdi Surla, Sanguem; Shree Chandreshwar Bhutnath Sansthan, Parvat, Paroda, Quepem; Shree Sateri Devastan Shel, Siolim, Bardez and Shree Devki Krishna Ravalnath Temple, Marcel, Ponda.
The participating groups shall be paid honorarium/travelling charges as per the norms prescribed by the Directorate of Art and Culture. The maximum number of participants in each group should be 15 and about 75 groups will be considered for participation in the festival at each place. The performance duration shall be minimum 7 minutes and maximum 10 minutes for each group.
Interested groups can collect the prescribed entry forms from the office of the Directorate of Art and Culture, Shrama Shakti Bhavan, 5th Floor, Patto, Panjim during office hours from 24th February to 2nd March and submit the same duly filled by 8th March. Only the groups who submit their entry to the Directorate shall be allowed to participate. There is no entry fee. The entries will be considered on first come first serve basis.
