Goa Forward Party (GFP) President and former Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sardesai on Monday demanded that government should open two floors of Hospicio Hospital of South Goa otherwise he would be forced to move court to get judicial recourse.
Speaking at an event at his constituency, the Fatorda MLA said alleged that government had created mess out of COVID-10 pandemic and things were going from bad to worst.
‘Beds were not available in hospitals. People have to use influence to get that. Two floors are vacant but health minister is supporting medical college,’ Mr Sardesai alleged.
Later in a series of tweets, the former Deputy Chief Minister said government’s fantasy plans for South Goa District Hospital was robbing Fatorda and demanded absolute focus on the pandemic.
‘There’s only one kind of citizens in #Goa today-concerned citizens! #Govt’s fantasy plans for #SouthGoaDistHospital is robbing #Fatorda #COVID19 patients of much needed beds & facilities. We demand absolute focus on the #pandemic, or as anxious citizens we will seek legal remedy,’ he said.
He said police should be competent to anticipate and prevent crime before it happened and criticised transfers of police officers due to political interference.
‘@GoaPolice should be competent 2anticipate & prevent crime before it happens. But wayward political & ministerial interference in police transfers r replacing efficient officers by pliant stooges whose inefficiency will put #Goemkar lives/property in danger,’ he tweeted.
