GIREM Summit Underway

Global Initiative for Restructuring Environment and Management (GIREM) President Shyam Sundar Pani stated that setting up of a fully equipped convention centre in Goa will boost tourism in Goa, while addressing media persons at the inauguration of the fourth edition of GIREM, the flagship urban planning and real estate leadership summit, which is currently underway at Zuri White Sands Resort, Varca.

The theme for the event this year is ‘Winning the decade’. The event will witness key strategists, urban planners, industry experts, and top bureaucrats converge to brainstorm on how to deal with different issues that confront planning.

Pani informed that the summit will also unveil 36 GIREM smart cities that have been shortlisted based on available talent, resources and existing opportunities between them.

“GIREM is positioned strategically to be able to influence people, governments, corporations and organizations to work together for changing discrepancy and lethargy that exists in the way of operation, exchange ideas and collaboratively put into practice”, he said and further added that the summit focuses on bring all the stakeholders together for sharing opinions and expectations and to come up with a sustainable and efficient plan for India’s future.

Speaking on the occasion Sridhar Raghavendra, Associate VP & Lead-Facilities & Admin Global, Mphasis HP said that GIREM is a one-of-its-kind summit that aims at giving much-needed impetus to the Indian realty industry via a thorough assessment of the trends and challenges witnessed today.

This summit will provide industry players with a platform to congregate, confer and discuss the most vital issues that this sector and the nation face, he added further.
