Goa Chief Minister on Friday chaired a meeting of the task force to review the preparedness for the third wave of Covid 19.
In a tweet, he said,” Chaired the Task Force meeting to review the preparedness for 3rd Wave. The Govt has accepted various suggestions of the expert committee, including mandatory vaccination for all those who come in regular contact with children below the age of 18, such as staff of educational institutions.”
He said that people who would not comply would not be allowed to attend their workplace till such time they take their vaccine, for the safety of the children.
”Such personnel who do not comply will not be allowed to attend their workplace till such time they take their vaccine, for the safety of our children,” he said.
To date, 1,68,430 people have been found Covid positive in the state, out of whom 3088 have died while 1,63,347 have recovered.
Goa reported 220 new cases of Covid 19 and two deaths on Friday.
The number of active cases in the state increased to 1995.
