Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) office-bearers and members will join in the nation-wide protest march called for by the All India Congress Committee at the Centre against the ineffectiveness of the Narendra Modi led BJP government to curb rising costs of fuel and gas cylinders.
Congress workers in Goa will march towards the Goa secretariat as mark of protest carrying placards.
“Price in fuel has risen because of the rise in excise duty,” expressed Congress MLA Dayanand Sopte. He further added, “People of India need to know that NDA-government is selling fuel to other countries at Rs 34 for petrol and Rs 37 for diesel, we have got this information through a RTI. The Modi government is not taking the interest of the common man and woman into consideration.”
