Both Congress observers for Goa Jagmeet Singh Brar and Sudhakar Reddy have been strategically moved-out from their general secretaries and secretaries posts. AK Anthony report on the Goa Assembly Election debacle clearly pin-pointed at these two AICC leaders has failing in their responsibility of ticket selection and election planning.
Senior Congress Leader Oscar Fernandes who was earlier considered to be in the top-ten of AICC affairs has been moved-out of party affairs and sent to the Central government as the Union Minister of Surface Transport, while to many it appears to be an elevation. Close sources to the Congress vice-president state that Oscar Fernandes partisan role in favoring certain political-leaders in the Goa Assembly ticket-distribution did not go down well with Gandhi (especially incidents like Fernandes’s wife launching the Congress Election manifesto who was waiting for an opportunity to gradually move Fernandes out-of-party affairs. Fernandes was moved-out to make a way for Faleiro, who shares a very good rapport with Congress vice-president.
