Chief Minister Digambar Kamat declared that Goa was emerging as an ideal film shooting destination and credited his government policies for it. “Our policies like Film Finance Scheme, single window clearance and easy access to locations amongst others has resulted in this,” he said.
He pointed out that the entire film Golmaal 3 was filmed in Goa and added that many foreign filmmakers are also choosing Goa as the locale for their films. Goa’s popularity is also increasing amongst the regional film makers and the corporate sector for shooting their advertisements, he said.
Interestingly, the Entertainment Society of Goa earned as much as 21 lakhs from permissions granted for filming in Goa and during the last calendar year, the State had as many as 600 film shooting days.
