Chief Minister Digambar Kamat said that his Government will support festivals like Goa Fest in the State as it helps the State economically, accords it due publicity and provides an opportunity to the people to visit Goa.
He informed that efforts are being made to develop and project Goa as a perfect destination for holding festivals. He also said Goa presently holds International Film Festival of India, South Asian Film Festival, Children’s Film Festival and Patriotic Film Festival.
After inaugurating the two-day ‘Goa Fest 201’—an advertising conclave at Varca on Thursday he said, this biggest advertising festival in India will help project Goa as a perfect destination for conducting good festivals.
The festival has been organized by Advertising Agencies Association of India (AAAI) and the Advertising Club Bombay (ACB). It offers a unique opportunity to advertising professionals from all over India to meet and celebrate the spirit of advertising. This year, Goa Fest will make a conscious effort in promoting clean and green advertising. The theme for the festival is preparing the profession for the new decade.
Goa Fest 2011, in alliance with the Indian Chapter of International Advertising Association, will host the first ever olive crown awards on 9th April with an objective to encourage advertisers and marketers to communicate green messaging. The olive crown awards will recognize and promote responsible advertising.
