Goa Govt permits sale of liquor activities

Panaji: Goa Government has permitted manufacturing and sale activities of all the Distilleries, Breweries, Wineries and Country Liquor Bottling Units from Tuesday, subject to strict adherence to all the relevant guidelines prescribed by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) and directions given by SEC, Government of Goa.

However, the permission is not for prohibited areas and whose licenses have been kept under suspension.
According to a statement, the permission for Manufacturing Units to open and start manufacturing activities are subject to following of Social distancing norm as specified in the order and guidelines of MHA.

They should provide Masks, Face cover to the employees in all work places and adequate stock of such masks/face cover, provision of thermal screening, hand sanitizer preferably with touch free mechanism should be made available at all entry and exit points and common areas.

Sufficient quantities of hand wash and sanitizers should be made available apart from ensuring frequent sanitization of entire work place, common facilities and all points which come into human contact.

Arrangement of transport facilities for the employees should also be ensured with social distancing wherever personal public transport is not feasible besides undertaking intensive communication and training and good hygiene practices.

They should open the Unit at their usual permitted time and must close by 1800 hrs to enable the employer and employees reach home by 1900 hrs and avoid large physical meetings. The use of ‘Arogya Setu App ‘ had been made mandatory for all employees, the statement said.
