”We are aware of the problem that people have to wait for long hours at transport department offices. I am going to give option to the people. If you go to RTO, you pay Rs 300 for installation of plates. With additional payment of Rs 100 I want to give it to the private dealers. You do not have to wait. You go and get the plate fixed,” he said.
Mr Godinho said that this would also help those dealers who had suddenly gone out of business.
”I have asked the person who has got the contract (to install registration plates) to tie up with the dealers who will only get Rs 100 on installation of per plates,” he said.
