Goa has constructed substantial infrastructure for 36th National Games: Goa Tourism Minister

Goa Sports Minister Manohar Azgaonkar on Thursday said that the State Government had constructed substantial infrastructure for the 36th National Games.

In a written reply in response to a question tabled by St Andre MLA Francisco Silveira, Azgaonkar said, “The government has already constructed substantial infrastructure and is in the process of constructing or refurbishing the other required infrastructure for the 36th National Games.”

The National Games would be hosted as per the period recommended or acceptable by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), he said, adding the proposed venues were GMC Athletics Stadium at Bambolim, Dr S P M Stadium, Goa University, Taleigao, Multi-purpose Indoor Hall at Peddem, Tilak Maidan at Vasco, Utorda Football Ground, Nuvem, PJN Stadium at Fatorda and Multi-purpose Indoor Hall at Quepem.
