Panaji: Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Friday said that the state is reopening for tourists.
In a tweet, he said,”Goa is reopening for tourists. Tourism is one of the biggest industries in the state and is the backbone of our economy. In this unlock phase, we are kick starting our economy again by keeping the highest health safety norms in place in view of #COVID19. #GoaFightsCOVID19.”
“Let’s work together to fight this pandemic and restore the livelihood of thousands of Goans,” he said.
The coastal state is reopening its tourism sector after a gap of about 3.5 months due to outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic which has claimed four lives.
However, the chief minister also tweeted about guidelines and regulations to be followed by the tourists while visiting the state.
