Goa Police seize drugs worth Rs 2 Crore from British Frequent Tourist

Considered as one of biggest haul of drugs this year, Goa Police seized drugs worth over Rs 2 crore from a British man who frequented the state as a tourist.

The raid was conducted at Aguada Plateau last night, SP Anti-Narcotics Cell Karthik Kashyap revealed.

The 45-year old British national was arrested and banned amphetamine drugs worth over Rs 2 crore. The quantity of the haul is 4.140 kgs.

The accused had come to deliver the narcotics to a customer. The British man had been often visiting Goa over the last couple of years and was currently staying in a hotel in Candolim.

According to Kashyap, the seizures of amphetamine is a new phenomenon in the state and more arrests are likely to be executed in this case.
