‘Goa Saras 2011’ Begins 17th November

Goa Saras 2011, a national-level exhibition cum sale of products, organized by the Ministry of Rural Development will be held at SGPDA Ground, Margao from 17th to 28th November.

This year, altogether 16 states will be participating including Goa with nearly 150 groups. Handicrafts, homemade products, decorative item, eatables, etc. made by self-help groups from will be displayed at the exhibition.

During the fair, cultural programmes will be held from 6 pm onwards every day.

On 17th November, musical show by Menino de Bandar will be held, while on 18th November, solo singing competition for children below 15 years will be held.

On 19th November, Prince Jacob will perform a musical show, while on 20th November DRDA staff will showcase a cultural programme. A musical show by Peter Roshan will be held on 21st November and fancy dress competition for children below 15 years will be held on 22nd November.

Geet Gazal by Anand Raikar and kalshi dance, lamp dance, dhalo and fugdi by self-help group members (DRDA North and South) will be held on 23rd November and group dance competition will be held on 24th November.

On 25th November, Mario Menezes will present a musical show and on 26th November, magic show by Ravindra Laad will be held.

On 27th November, The Rockers Orchestra by Ashish Raikar will be held.

The closing ceremony will be held on 28th November followed by cultural programme and prize distribution.
