Goa Sports Minister Manohar (Babu) Azgaonkar reviewed the preparations of organisation of National Games to be held in the month of November in the state.
Speaking to reporters after the review, he said national games were an opportunity for the Goan Sports and sportsmen and collective efforts were required to make the event successful.
He said as many as 32 events of sports would be organised at 32 different places all around the state for the games, he added.
Mr Azgaonkar inquired with the official’s the progress on renovation of old infrastructure and new infrastructure works being carried out at various places.
Chairman, Games Technical Conduct Committee, Indian Olympic Association, Mukesh Kumar; V M Prabhudessai, Director, Sports Authority of Goa, Gurudatta Bhakta, Secretary, Goa Olympic Association and other officials were present.
