The Goa Handicrafts, Rural and Small Industries Development Corporation has decided to set up an export promotion cell to increase its exports during the current financial year.
While pointing out that the corporation has built an export market over the last two years, the Corporation’s chairman Sameer Salgaonkar disclosed that handicrafts worth around Rs. 6 lakhs were exported to USA, Netherlands and Switzerland.
However, for the current financial year, the Corporation has set a target of exports worth around Rs. 60 lakhs.
