Following the crackdown by the Delhi administration on Baba Ramdev’s agitation in the national capital, the volunteers of Bharat Swabhiman trust in Goa suspended their indefinite hunger strike.
11 volunteers of Bharat Swabhiman Trust had launched an indefinite hunger strike at Azad Maidan, Panjim on Saturday along with Baba Ramdev and around 100 others observed the token day’s fast.
On Sunday around 200 volunteers were expected to observe a token one day fast at Panjim. However, as the Delhi administration broke the agitation there, the agitation in Goa too underwent a change.
Around 100 volunteers sat in a dharna at Azad Maidan and the hunger strike was called off. A public meeting to condemn the administration’s reaction was scheduled later in the evening at Panjim.
