Govt Team To View DMD In Goa

The screening of the movie Dum Maro Dum for the high level committee constituted by the Government of Goa will be done in Goa and not Mumbai as planned earlier according to secretary of the committee Menino Peres who is the Director for Information and Publicity.
He revealed that one of the screens at Maquinez Palace in the old GMC complex will be used for the purpose on Monday when the distributors of the movie that has irked quite a number of people over its promos, will arrive in Goa with a print of the movie.
The producers and distributors of the film had last week expressed their willingness to screen the film for the judges of the Goa Bench of Bombay High Court along with the petitioner when the public interest litigation seeking a restrain/ban on release of the film filed by Founder and Editor in Chief of Goa Chronicle.Com Savio Rodrigues came up for hearing.
In fact, the government constituted the high level committee after the offer was made in the open court and Savio Rodrigues had protested against the government’s decision to view the film in Mumbai when the producers and distributors were willing to screen it in Goa itself.
