This would be the first time in the history of Goa assembly that the finance minister is tabling the action taken report within one month of presenting the budget.
“We will present action taken report in assembly on May 2,” Parrikar said.
The State Cabinet on Friday cleared various tax proposals expected to generate around 150 crore as additional revenue. It also approved several amendments, including those seeking to refund VAT to foreigners and VAT on aviation turbine fuel.
Last year, former chief minister Digambar Kamat had urged the government to submit an action-taken report on the budget. He also said that this will help the government evaluate its performance
