Govt Working Towards Welfare Of Common Man: Halarnkar
Halarnkar was speaking at the inauguration of labour welfare centre at Assanora set up by the office of Commissioner for Labour and Employment.
Speaking further Halarnkar informed that the welfare schemes that are initiated by the Government are meant for people below poverty line, marginalized and poor as well. He informed that in this labour welfare centre the Government will conduct tailoring classes for the women of industrial units and mining workers. These women can avail of the benefit of these tailoring classes for starting their own ventures to supplement their earning.
Commissioner for Labour and Employment Fatima Rodrigues said that the Government will conduct cutting classes, tailoring classes as well as embroidery classes.
She further said that the Government will provide free sewing machines to trainees after completion of the course for starting their own ventures.
Thereafter, Halarnkar also laid the foundation stone for six seater Sulabh Shouchalaya estimated at a cost of Rs.13.5 lakhs at Bhandarwada Assanora.
