GPCC President Shirodkar to be asked to resign

In the first revamp of the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee after the debacle at the Goa Assembly elections wherein in the party managed to only poll nine seats; GPCC president Subash Shirodkar is to be asked to resign from his current position.

Strangely, Shirodkar did not find the moral responsibility to resign from the office. In fact Shirodkar has been laying the blame on the ‘family raj’ politics and corruption. However, what many GPCC office bearers are saying is that the pathetic functioning of the party of the state and the poor performance in the elections is mainly because Shirodkar as the party state president did not put forward the true picture of the state political affairs but in fact supported the corrupt ministers lobby like the Alemaos and Ranes.

While the decision on the new president has not been taken, GoaChronicle.com has learnt through AICC sources that the current Working President Francisco Sardinha will be made the President of GPCC.
