GPYC President has no moral right to talk about corruption: BJP Goa Youth President

Reacting to the recent statements criticizing senior leaders of BJP at the Centre and states (in particular Nitin Gadkari and Narinder Modi) made by the Goa Pradesh Youth Congress (GPYC) president, Pratima Coutinho at a recently held GPYC Youth Convention, BJP Goa Youth President and MLA Dr Pramod Sawant told GoaChronicle.com that, “The Congress Youth President must first look at corruption in her own party in the state. Corruption was the reason why the people of Goa voted them out of power. She has no moral right to talk about corruption.”

Further expressing his opinion, Sawant stated that if the state was a cesspool of corruption, Congress at the Centre is even more entrenched in corruption, right up to allegations against its senior leader including the Congress President and UPA Chairman Sonia Gandhi. Over the last couple of months, people of India have been educated about the levels of corruption at the Centre.

“It would be advisable for the Congress Youth president to give her statements on the large-scale corruption in the Congress and not remain mute spectator”, stated Sawant.
