The Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation on Thursday launched its e-tendering initiative thereby enabling the contractor to complete all the tendering formalities without visiting the office.
Besides providing the tender forms on line, tenders will also be accepted on line and even the payments including the Earnest Money Deposit under this initiative.
Chief Minister Digambar Kamat who is also the chairman of the corporation, while commissioning the facility said it will help bring about transparency in the tender process and added that it was a major step in e-governance.
GSIDC Managing Director Sanjith Rodrigues while pointing out that the Corporation’s tenders will not have global participation also disclosed that pre-bid conferences will be held on line.
As the transactions will be from the contractors bank to the GSIDC bank, it will contribute in a big way towards transparency, he said.
