Kolkata, Dec 24 (GCCurrentAffairs) West Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhankhar today expressed his profound anguish over the obstruction to his entry into Jadavpur University (JU) to attend the convocation ceremony.

It’s almost a rerun of yesterday’s situation as the Governor had to cool his heels as he was being prevented from making his entry resulting in the delay of the start of the convocation, scheduled to begin at 10.45 AM.

On Monday, the Governor advocated for autonomy of the educational institutions even as he faced a massive “go back” demonstration by the black flag waving students.

The convocation literally hanged fire as agitating students waving black flags and resorting to “go back” slogans stuck to their stand of not attending the ceremony if the Governor chaired it.

Mr Dhankar termed the development as “planned” and said, ” The DNA of the educational system has completely decomposed. “
