HC To Hear Asilo Petition Next Week
The Bombay High Court at Goa on Thursday said it will hear next week the petition filed by Shalby Hospitals challenging the tendering process for privatization of Asilo Hospital and the Public Interest Litigation challenging the Private Public Participation module for health care.
Amicus curie Advocate Saresh Lotlikar brought it to the notice of the Division bench comprising of Justices S A Bobde and F M Reis that Prakash Sardessai’s PIL questions the very logic of PPP module for hospitals.
He argued that the PIL be heard first as if the contention therein is upheld then Shalby Hospitals’ petition becomes infructuous.
However, the division bench said it will hear both the petitions together next week.
