Mumbai: The Union Home Ministry has directed all states and Union Territories to focus on effective measures to curb the spread of Covid. In this regard, Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla has written a letter to the Chief Secretaries of all the States on Saturday.
The instructions should be strictly followed to prevent covid infection, he said. Bhalla also said that awareness should be created about the guidelines regarding Covid 19.
It may noted that Maharashtra state one of the worst affected in country registered more than 27,000 cases and 92 deaths during the past 24 hours posing major challenge before the state government that how to tackle and break the chain of Covid pandemic.
However ,numbers of measures including traceing,testing, treatment and vaccination has been increased across the state as well as imposing partial lockdown,curfew among others restrictions in the state and awareness campaign through different ways .
However the state chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray has suggested that the Haffkin Institute should take the lead in covid vaccine production.
The Chief Minister was speaking at a meeting held after inspecting the laboratory at Haffkin Institute in Parel, Mumbai on Saturday .
Mr Thackeray already warn that if people will not follow the norms of Covid government has not option but to impose lockout in the state .
