HP:Congress to fight next elections under leadership of former CM Vir Bhadra

Hamirpur (HP): HP Congress President Kuldip Singh Rathore said that the Congress party will fight the 2022 elections in the state under the leadership of its Supreme Commander, Vir Bhadra Singh, the former Chief Minister of state.

Talking to a group of reporters here last evening, he said that blessings of Singh were badly needed for the party as he had led the state not less than seven times as its Chief Minister.

He challenged the Chief Minister, Jai Ram Thakur to release the list of the BJP personals who had been elected to the Zila parishads alleging that the BJP was forced to control the Zila parishads with help of non BJP people as it was in minority at majority places.

He was happy to say that the elections to the Municipal Corporation would be held on party tickets and that was the demand of the Congress party.

He said that the Congress party had constituted a committee for the selection of candidates for the municipal elections. There will be a meeting in Dharamshala on March 6 and in Mandi on March 8. There will be a rally in Shimla on March 10 under the leadership of the state in-charge to give fillip to the party’s election campaign.
