Human Touch Foundation participates in Consultation with Young People on SDGs

Applesta Da Costa , Program Officer, Psychosocial Support and Elizabeth Figer, Program Assistant participated in Consultation with Young People on the Sustainable Development Goals, held from 21-22nd June at The Pride Plaza, New Delhi.

The consultation aimed at bringing young people together to discuss how they can make a diference in ensuring that major targets of sustainbale development goas on Good Health (3), including ending AIDS by 2030, Quality Education(4), Gender Equality (5) and Good Jobs and Economic Growth (8) can be realized for all, including margnalized young people so that no one is let behind.

The consultation helped the participants to identify needs, challenges and partners at all levels (national and state level) and from all sectors (public, inlcuding parliament or private including civil society) to support their efforts, including areas for advocacy by UNADS and the UN in general, to achieve these targets by 2030.

In Goa, Human Touch Foundation engages young people to address HIV, substance abuse, sexual and reproductive health and tuberculosis.
