The ‘One from a billion hunt’ for Formula One racer will be held in Goa from 4th May to 8th May by the Force India Formula One Team Academy at the Karting track at Nuvem.
This is part of the hunt for the fastest person behind the wheels that is being held in seven different locations in the country.
Vice President Marketing of Kingfisher Airlines, the main sponsor of Force India Formula one team said the response in Mumbai was tremendous and clarified that even those who missed the event in Mumbai, could participate in Goa.
The contest is open for youngsters aged between 14 to 17 years and will also be held at Kolhapur, Bangaluru, Chennai and Amritsar.
Contestants will be provided with standardized karts to provide a level playing field and will be judged on the best performance of the five laps they will do.
14 participants from each centre will be selected for the national finals where 100 participants will vie including some wild card entries. The 10 best performers at the finals to be held in September this year, will then be provided a week long training at Silverstone in the United Kingdom from 3rd October.
At this training, the three best performers will be selected and their names will be announced later the same month when the Grand Prix of India will be held.
